Jacob + Kaeli | An Intimate Chapel Wedding in Willard | Missouri Wedding Photographer

Rain is considered good luck on your wedding day, but is it added luck when there is rain on your wedding day but it clears up just before the bride walks down the aisle? Yeah. I thought so! Jacob + Kaeli's day started out rainy + cloudy at Heritage Chapel, everyone scooted into the reception hall dressing rooms with squeaky shoes in toe but when Kaeli pulled up with her best gal pals, they all ran for cover into the bridal suite with lots of laughter + smiles - she was saying "I do!" to Jacob that day, after all! As the girls added finishing touches to their hair + makeup, they made their way out to beautifully decorated reception space that was attached so that Kaeli could be quietly zipped up into her dress by her mom in anticipation that she was getting to see her groom soon!!

These two opted out of having a first look but made it a priority to pray together before their day as a way to stop & take a moment to themselves + reflect on the moments ahead of them. As Jacob made his way into the room, blindfolded, Kaeli crossed her arms across her heart & used every fiber in her being not to cry (there wasn't a dry eye in the room though!) They sat in front of one another sharing a kiss & extended their hands out to one another before intertwining them, bowing their heads as Jacob lead them in prayer. Something truly magical happened in that moment as it seemed any jitters simply floated away & they sunk into one another. It was a sight to see behind the camera!

Before everyone knew it, it was time to make their way into the chapel so Kaeli had her veil put on along with a last few sprays of hairspray to keep her gorgeous boho waves intact. As their family + her best friends made their way down the aisle - Jacob smiled so big knowing that he'd soon see his bride. As the doors to the chapel opened, everyone stood to look at a glowing Kaeli. Tears formed in her eyes as she saw her groom at the end of the aisle knowing that she'd walk back down it hand in hand with him as his wife!

Then it was time to start the party! Being announced to all of their guests as the newly Mr + Mrs Shaffer then danced their way to the head table to I'm The One by Justin Bieber while everyone cheered them on. Before dinner they shared their first dance before digging into their nacho bar catered by their favorite food truck from their college town! Can you say, yum?! They shared toasts with red bull & then tore down the nacho bar to replace it with an ice cream bar so that everyone could enjoy a little sweet treat, too. Dancing the night away it seemed like every single guest that was there was on the dance floor celebrating the newlyweds!

You best believe that everyone was whipping & nay-naying!
