Nate + Abby

The first thing these two mentioned to me in our initial contact was their love for beer, wanting beautiful photographs, + involving El Paso into their wedding - honestly, they nailed it.

Upon my arrival to Abby’s moms house, all three of the ladies were in velour sweat suits. They were seriously rockin’ it too. The atmosphere of calm + complete content was all that I felt as I snagged detail shots + getting ready shots of the ladies + Abby’s bridesgroom! Once she got finishing touches on her makeup, we jumped out to the backyard for documentation before she grabbed her something blue - the cutest pale blue leather jacket for some solo bridal portraits! Then it was off to the church for a few detail shots with Nate.

Pulling up to the church was so perfectly timed as it was at the exact same time as Nate + his parents. Before we knew it, Abby was lined up at the door ready to walk down the aisle! She was stunning as ever as everyone turned their attention to her + stood. The ceremony was beautiful + the two were all smiles the whole time - which is pretty serious since we all know that ceremonies in the church are any hour!

Jumping in the car to make our way to the spot where Nate proposed to snag portraits of just them, everyone else made way to Epic Railyard. Since Tom Lea is right up the mountain from the oldest historical high school in El Paso, we made a stop there to add a bit of texture + architecture to their photographs - especially since there is a gorgeous set of marble stairs. It almost looks more like a capitol building than a high school because it is so intricate.

Soon enough we were making way to their reception - these two know how to have fun + have a big handful of family + friends who also know how to which meant lots of dancing, laughter, + cheers to celebrate the newlyweds. I was pulled aside by Nate’s mom so that she could let me in on their family tradition; usually the bride is whisked away from the reception + taken to the nearest bar for a toast + shot out of the family chalice but because there wasn’t a bar within walking distance, they decided to take her out to the parking lot to do so. Just like that, she was officially part of the family with her special induction!

We snuck away to the courtyard for a few portraits of the two of them with sparklers + the end of the night came so quickly as everyone prepared to send them off to Hotel Indigo for a little post reception celebration.

Here’s a collection of my favorites from their day!
