Mike + Abbie | An Intimate Franklin Mountain Inspired Engagement Session | El Paso Engagement Photographer
"Fair warning - we're awkward!" I get this ALL the time from my couples & so when Abbie said this to me at the beginning of their engagement session I just laughed & said "I promise you're not!" because I knew that our session together would back up my statement! If you've never had professional pictures done, it can be daunting but when it comes down to it, there's nothing to be afraid of & by the end of it you'll be wondering where the time went realizing that the sun has already set (or rose, depending on when the shoot is! OH golden hour!) while you were having fun with the love of your life - those moments were happily + carefully being documented forever!
Abbie + Mike fell in love with the idea of the mountains. Being from the Midwest (talk about a small world when Mike + I realized we grew up about 30 minutes from each other in small cities in Missouri) you don't get all of the southwest views that El Paso has to offer so upon seeing the desert, mountains, + cotton candy sky sunsets for the first time - it's instant love! They wanted this time in their lives to represent Mike being stationed here & Abbie's visits to come see him as she completes Teach for America in Alabama. Talk about an engagement knowing that when they say "I do!" their long distance journey will end!! These two couldn't be more perfect for one another though.
As we explored the mountains (Abbie being a trooper & hiking in heels to be up on the mountains! GET IT GIRL!) it was nothing short of an adventure as they laughed together, danced, kissed, + Mike swept her off her feet multiple times for piggy back rides + her running jumps into his arms.
Love + mountains + these two incredible peeps equals the best recipe especially because Abbie sent me the best text on their way home with a "we had SO much fun!" Awkward who? 😉💓
