Miguel + Elyscia
These two had everyone tearing up + laughing the whole day.
As soon as I arrived, I met up with the videographers in the lobby before we made our way upstairs to the grooms hotel room first to capture getting ready. Walking in, everyone was laughing or had a smile on their face. Miguel gave hugs + began the process of dressing to marry his favorite person on the planet just a few floors above the gorgeous greenery filled ceremony space.
Gifting all of his guys with an old military tin with their names marked + a few items inside, all of the groomsmen, officiant, + Elyscia’s dad couldn’t stop saying “these are so cool!”
Pulling Miguel downstairs out into the courtyard we snagged his solo portraits before getting shots with him + his guys + letting them head back upstairs for a shot or two, + to get into the cigars so we could get up to the bride’s junior suite.
Hearing Elyscia talk about her dress before the day absolutely couldn’t have painted a picture for how beautiful (+ heavy) it was in person. With it hanging on the armoire, it still wasn’t near as breathtaking as her though. With a classic ponytail + surrounded by all her best gals in life.
Back to the dress - her Oleg Cassini dress - the Oleg Cassini that dressed Jackie Kennedy + Audrey Hepburn is a 1950’s inspired old ivory Spanish vibe dress that had 8 different layers of lace. To top it off, Elyscia added a gorgeous several foot long veil to add to the whole look.
Soon enough the ceremony was approaching - we snuck her away into a room so that she could have a first look with her dad before she walked down the aisle to her man!
The ceremony was timed perfectly to narrowly avoid the downpour that was on its way. The vows had everyone teary eyed but then Elyscia added in “you’re just so cool!” to Miguel giving the mood a little laugh too.
Thankfully the surrounding walkway of the courtyard was covered in greenery, providing a great place to scrunch everyone under for family + bridal party photos. Then magically, once again, the rain cleared + the sun came out for their intimate photographs together - this also was the recipe for a double rainbow over the reception space for furthering their celebration.
Announced as the newly Mr + Mrs Loera being welcomed by the Mariachi Tenampa, the night wore on with toasts on the grassy area of the courtyard before their first dances + leading into the night of music + dancing!
Special thanks to the hard working vendors that helped bring their day to life. It was a pleasure to work with each + every one of them!
