Will + Kristen | A Rustic Elegant Wedding at Overlook Farm | Missouri Wedding Photographer

Immediately being met with the most hospitable staff at the beginning of this wedding as I snagged a parking pass seriously made for the start to such a perfect wedding.

Will + Kristen are a match made in heaven, they balance each other out so wonderfully, or in their words, they “keep each other in check.” It kind of reminds me of Sweet Home Alabama the way that they anchor each other in life. These two tied the knot in an intimate fashion before their wedding day so their day was all about celebrating with family + friends + their marriage thus far. Or in their words, being crazy enough to marry each other twice!

Will + his groomsmen we’re sporting beers before the ceremony, casually hanging out at the bar just above the place where they’d get to say “I do,” again. So with a little finishing touches, we headed out for pictures of them before making my way up the gravel road to the gorgeous home that Kristen was prepping for the day. Walking through the front door you could immediately hear laughter upstairs + a flurry of happy faces. Snagging the dress for a few details, Kristen helped me in the greenhouse - we gushed over how beautiful it was + how amazing the location was.

These two decided to do a “no look” first look, so they stood back to back + read letters to one another. In their fashion, they both joked + filled the air with the teasing of one another before heading back to where they had gotten ready to await the ceremony.

Soon enough everyone was seated + was gazing upon Will as Kristen moved down the stairs with her stepdad so she could join her dad where she presented him with a thoughtful handkerchief. They washed each other’s hands, had connected flower crowns placed on their heads, + read their vows to one another!

Following the ceremony these two were whisked away to the bridal cottage up the back road where you could’ve heard Kristen squeal at the reception venue when the cat that live at the cottage showed up for their portraits together so naturally we had to snag one of it with her! Heading up the road we spotted a gorgeous tunnel between the trees that we stopped at before delivering them to their reception space safe + sound.

The first dance, toasts, + bouquet + garter toss came quickly after that before everyone (a family that truly loves to get down on the dance floor) jumped out on the floor to party the night away.

Here’s a handful of the moments of their day:
